Ruby Mega Menu Theme Compatibility
Ruby Mega Menu was built to drop into any WordPress theme without conflicts. It uses standard WordPress menu hooks rather than overriding theme templates, so your existing header design stays intact — you just get richer navigation inside it.
Below are detailed compatibility guides for the most popular WordPress themes. If yours isn’t listed, Ruby will almost certainly work — these are just the themes we’ve explicitly tested and tuned for.
Theme-specific guides
Avada
How Ruby Mega Menu fits into Avada’s Fusion Builder headers — including WooCommerce and Avada Live customizer.
Astra
Astra prizes performance. Here’s how Ruby’s no-jQuery, split-CSS architecture keeps your Astra speed score intact.
Flatsome
Flatsome is the WooCommerce theme. Ruby adds the horizontal shopping tabs and live cart icon Flatsome’s UX Builder doesn’t cover natively.
Elementor (Hello + Pro)
Elementor treats menus as page-builder elements. Ruby treats them as a navigation system. Here’s how that distinction matters.
Divi
Divi’s Theme Builder is powerful but heavy for menu work. Ruby keeps menu editing in WordPress core while Divi keeps owning the visual layer.
Block themes and the Full Site Editor
Ruby Mega Menu works with block themes (Twenty Twenty-Four, Twenty Twenty-Five, and any FSE theme). The setup differs slightly because block themes manage headers through the Site Editor instead of Appearance → Menus. Full walkthrough: Block themes and navigation plugins.
Working with classic themes not listed above
Ruby Mega Menu works out of the box with any theme that uses WordPress’s standard menu registration. That covers virtually every theme on WordPress.org and the major commercial themes:
- GeneratePress and GeneratePress Premium
- Kadence Theme and Kadence Blocks
- OceanWP
- Neve
- Blocksy
- Twenty Twenty-Three / Twenty Twenty-Four / Twenty Twenty-Five (default WordPress themes)
- Oxygen Builder (via the menu element)
- Bricks Builder
If you run into any compatibility issue with a theme not listed, the theme compatibility checklist will help you diagnose it in five minutes.
Why Ruby Mega Menu integrates so cleanly
Three deliberate architecture choices keep compatibility broad:
- Standard hooks only. Ruby filters
wp_nav_menu_itemsoutput rather than replacing the menu walker. Themes that style their own menu container keep working. - Scoped CSS. Mega menu styles only load on pages where a mega menu exists — no global reset that fights your theme.
- No jQuery dependency. Modern themes are dropping jQuery; Ruby was built without it from day one.
